The Michael J. Fox Foundation is an advocate for people with Parkinson's disease, providing resources and finding research projects to find better treatments.
Fox Trial Finder was created by the Michael J. Fox Foundation to help increase the flow of willing participants — both people with Parkinson’s and control participants who do not have Parkinson’s — into the clinical trials that need them, accelerating the Parkinson’s drug development process. Fox Trial Finder will not only list ongoing PD clinical trials and research studies, but will match registrants to the trials that need them and are best-suited to their specific traits.
Partners in Parkinson's
The Michael J. Fox Foundation and AbbVie have partnered to create Partners in Parkinson’s, a strategic health initiative which aims to fill in knowledge gaps, provide new educational tools and resources for the Parkinson’s community to help patients optimize their care from diagnosis through advanced disease.
The program’s new educational website will help patients and families:
- Locate a movement disorder specialist using a new online specialist locating tool, developed in collaboration with the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
- Connect with one-on-one support from a Parkinson’s Advocate, who are available by phone or in person, anywhere in the United States.
- Gain a better understanding of their Parkinson’s disease through comprehensive information online, including a downloadable Parkinson’s disease guide.
The mission of the Brian Grant Foundation is to empower those impacted by Parkinson’s to live active and fulfilling lives. They serve as an inspirational and informational resource, helping individuals impacted by Parkinson’s to live active and fulfilling lives through affordable exercise classes, wellness retreats, nutrition resources, community building, and more.
Designing A Cure Inc.
"Designing a Cure for Parkinson's Disease" was initially created to conceptualize and implement strategies to raise funds directed towards research and awareness of Parkinson's Disease. It now also serves as a platform to educate and inspire those living with this disease to take charge of their lives, to live well with Parkinson's.
